Seven Dwarves

From the Foundry Mighty Dwarves of Legend boxed set of Veteran Dwarves. Good solid chunky metal dwarves. They make even GW dwarves look a bit underfed! ha ha

For an idea of size they are based on 3/4 inch (20mm) diameter washers.

I do like these old Foundry dwarves.

As I was painting them and trying to figure out color schemes I hit on the idea of using the same reds, blues and yellows, as if they were a semi-uniformed city watch or something of that nature.

  4. Fantastic.

I love those pudgy little Foundry/Warmonger Dwarves. I've been tempted to put together entire units of them for Dragon Rampant or The Pikeman's Lament... But I still have a PILE of Lead Adventure Dwarves... and a bunch of Highland Dwarves (from various manufacturers... and a bunch of dwarves from Old Glory still to paint... I can't honestly justify buying any more dwarves at this point!

I know what you mean, Tim! I still have a bunch of the musketeer dwarves to assemble and paint (but I would most likely buy more if they ever do another kickstarter). And I recently went in on a kickstarter for some space dwarves (but just a few of them), which I hope will be sturdy enough. Always had a soft spot for the little guys (dwarves, and halflings, for that matter), ever since I first read The Hobbit.

I should see about organizing the ones I have painted over the years into units and armies for various rules, like DR and PL and such. And then I always want non-dwarf foes for them to fight; which in my world usually means some sort of orcs/goblins. :)

Looks like what I have to do to get notifications is to post a reply myself and click the "Notify me" checkbox. I'm guessing this (and other anomalies I have seen in various places) is due to the recent EU law about data rights...

  6. You're not the only one Blogger has not been sending notifications to. I've not been receiving any notifications about comments needing moderation for the last week - and wondering why NO ONE has been commenting on my blog!? Have read your comments about not getting notifications on this post yesterday, if finally dawned on me this morning that perhaps I wasn't getting any notifications and sure enough, after some searching I found the comment moderation page and there were 30+ comments needing moderation! Further searching indicated I SHOULD be getting notifications for them... but I'm not...? I don't know what's going on, but I hope it gets sorted out!

I have another set from the same collection, but I think I will be painting a few other figures before I get to them.
