Silent But Deadly

Sci-fi halfling snipers from Warblade Miniatures Kickstarter.

I love these little guys and how they look like some of the early GW/Citadel fantasy halflings. Funny, cartoonish, and not very "realistic", just the way I like them. I think they fit in well with other minis of this style, such as the space pirate orks I painted recently, or old school GW space goblins. A bit of whimsy for "grim dark" science fiction.

All 12 together. Should have been a baker's dozen. 😄

  1. These are fantastic! I particularly like the two in the WW2 commando stype knit caps with the silenced pistols! The are all really fun, though! Wonderful paint job!

    1. Thanks! I like those ones, too. And the ones in the cloaks. And all of them. lol
The guns are pretty fragile though. I did an accidental bounce test with one and the silencer part broke off. I glued it back on with a tiny dab of superglue, and now I have forgotten which one it was. Seems to be holding, anyway. But I am trying to avoid further stress tests!

    2. Ha-ha! Yikes! my accidental stress tests tend to be more disastrous!

I also love that there is at least one spotter with binoculars... wish there were more of those among sci-fi sniper types!

    4. Thanks, Iain! They were fun to paint! True about 1980s cool. lol
Makes me long for more minis of that aesthetic, with a variety of sci-fi types, characters, races, etc. Maybe even some beaky space marines. :D
