On Fire

 or Up in Flames?

Finished some more Super Dungeon Explore minis. Most of the fire-based ones (from an expansion/supplement?).

A couple of shots of the whole group, where you can see the fire beetle and the fire dogs (or wolves or whatever they are).

And closeups of the big flames, pillar, and little flames.

The flames remind me of Muppets. I did their eyeliner and pupils with a pen, just following the sculpted lines.

Turtles All the Way Down

I painted the set of turtles from an old copy of Super Dungeon Explore. Possibly for use as monsters/foes in assorted fantasy and sci-fi games.

Here is the whole group

RBJ Squealers

More minis from the RBJ Kickstarter. Just as the yippers were loosely, humorously, based on dog-faced kobolds, these are loosely based on the old idea of pig-faced goblins/orcs. These are also little guys around the size of most 28mm halflings or Reaper mouslings.

RBJ Yippers

Some more minis from a small Kickstarter project, Yippers from RBJ Game Company.

The whole gang (pack?)

RPE Ratmen

Finally got some more stuff painted. These are ratmen from an RPE (aka Ral Partha Europe) Kickstarter. They are right about 1 inch/ 25mm tall, and a bit on the scrawny side, suitable for rats. Should make for some good low level opponents for the "good guys" in skirmish games.

Lizards

Lizard people from Fanath minis. These are made for fantasy football kinds of games, but I figure they are generic enough to use in any sort of fantasy or science fiction setting where I might want some lizard people. I debated on whether to add weapons to them, but leaving them empty-handed keeps them more generic. I suppose I could try magnetized weapons/hands, but that might be more fiddly than I want to bother with. So here they are in all their bare-fisted glory.

Gnome, Not So Sweet Gnome

My latest batch of minis. The gnaughty gnomes are from Northumbrian Tin Soldier, same company who did the Cats of Crumptown.

The lamplighter, with his cartful of candle stubs and the gray cat are also from NTS.

Weasel and mole from Stonehaven Miniatures; with gnome for scale.
