Elves, Dwarves and Bears

These 2 wood elves are from Reaper. Maybe not clear from the angle, but the male elf is getting ready to fire a bow. The female has a lute strapped to her back.

More dwarves from Iron Mask Miniatures. Pikemen, and the first of the dwarves with muskets (the muskets have longer barrels, but they seemed too long to load so I cut them short).

A family of grizzly bears from Foundry.

Some chests from Super Dungeon Explore. I thought these could be useful in a variety of games, as background terrain "scatter" or as objectives.

  1. Lovely figures, especially the Elves. Splendid painting too.

    1. Thanks! I have quite a few wood elves from over the decades, and these seem to fit in well enough with the rest. I always liked wood elves, ever since Tolkien in the 60s/70s.

    1. Thanks! Pirates, dungeons, background scatter for pre-industrial towns, they're useful for all sorts of stuff.

    1. Thanks! I decided not to go for the rabbits. I have so many other minis to get to and no real use for the rabbits (as cool as they look). I could see getting them if I did HOTT or something like that. My main focuses currently are working through all the dwarf musketeers and getting some sci-fi stuff done so I can do some sci-fi skirmish games/adventures. Then I may tackle the Noggin minis, but that probably won't be for quite some time at the pace I go.

      Are you getting the rabbits?

    1. Thanks! I like the dwarves myself, but it seems the elves are the most popular.

The elves are mostly just various shades of green and brown. :)

  6. I really love these dwarves. The Elves and bears and chests are nice too, but I'm just loving everything about the dwarves - the miniatures, the brushwork, the colours you've chosen - they just look so fun!

The dwarves are my favorites, too. I was surprised to hear from a few people who liked the elves the best. There's no accounting for taste. ha ha

Next up on the painting desk, some dwarves of a different sort.
