Sci-fi Bits

Just to show that I'm still alive... ha ha

I finally finished these terrain bits for Star Wars Legion - which I plan to use for generic sci-fi skirmish games, since I don't have or play Star Wars Legion. (Reaper sci-fi rogue included for scale)

Seemed like some useful bits to use for objective markers, set dressing, obstacles or things to hide behind, etc.

It took me some time to figure out what colors I wanted to use and where to put those colors - lots of little bits that could have been picked out in various colors. I didn't want to make them too fiddly, but not too monotone either. I think I'm happy with the assorted grays (from Reaper's stone gray triad) and the shiny bronze and blue metallics.

  1. I think you got them spot on Fitz, picked out enough to make them interesting looking but not enough to have them looking fussy :)

  2. Thanks! I also got some WH40K terrain pieces to paint up one of these days (some bigger pieces with lots of detail - hopefully I can keep those less fussy, too).

But I want a break from this sort of thing, which I find a bit boring, and will probably paint more character figures next.

  4. Nice looking sci-fi bits and bobs! Good choice on the colours, the bronze works well in small amounts I think!

    1. Thanks! I took some inspiration from the various space stuff sent out by NASA and the like. Seems they sometimes use bronze-y looking bits on them.
