These are Reaper metal mouslings; barbarians, magic-users, archers, and assassin and thief.

Also, a Reaper shark pirate

  3. Thanks, guys!

I had fun painting them, although it took me a while! I have no idea if I will ever find a use for them in any games, but sometimes (often?) I just enjoy the painting.

  5. Great looking mouslings and I rather like your shark,I have a vauge idea of a game but they are few and far between so it's mainly painting for fun my end too and why not?!

  6. Thanks, Frank and caveadsum!

    Yep, why not indeed. :D
I've been painting for fun for decades. Not going to stop now. ha ha A large portion of my minis have never been in a game.

  7. I somehow missed these last week! I love the mice (and the shark). I really like that assassin mouse!

I have a handful of the plastic ones that came with various Reaper Bones to paint at some point. The details just don't look as sharp on them as yours here, though. I promised I'd paint them up and play Burrows and Badgers with Keira sometime... so many projects...

    1. Thanks! I like the mouslings - they are fun to paint. Not sure I will ever have a use for them in any games, but that's okay. Sometimes I just like to paint for the sake of painting and the resulting figures. And sometimes I think I should think about games and which figures I need for them (along with terrain and stuff) and plan to finish the needed items to get some games played. Because I do enjoy playing, too.

    2. Oh, me too! In fact, I think I mostly paint because I like painting - getting to actually play with them is a secondary bonus. Also, I like imagining games and scenarios I might play with a lot of figures while I'm painting, but often know I probably won't ever play them out. It might be because I don't have enough of the right terrain or opposing figures, but it's largely because I know the play won't be nearly as fun as what I dreamed about while painting.

    3. Oh yeah, I think of characters and imagine scenarios and stuff while painting, too. Yeah, lack of suitable terrain and opposing figures is another limiting factor. Along with so many ideas and so little time. :D
